Berlin Museums

28 June - Day 104

Today we went to visit some museums on museum island.

The first one we visit was the Pergamon museum, which had a whole bunch of Ancient Babylonian and Assyrian and Egyptian relics, like statues and entire city gates.

Then we went to the National Gallery where dad looked at paintings and I sat on a couch (it's ok though, I get into these for free).

After that, we visited the Old Museum which is full of stuff from Ancient Rome and Greece, mainly statues of naked people and pots and stuff like that.

For lunch we went to Curry36 to eat some currywurst, supposedly the best in Berlin.

Then we went for a walk through the Tiergarten before catching a bus to Potsdamer Platz to watch the new Spiderman, which was pretty awesome.

29 June - Day 105

This morning we went to the Museum of Natural History and that was cool. There, they hold a Guiness World Record for having the largest mounted dinosaur skeleton in the world, a Brachisaurous.

They also have an archaeopteryx fossil which is considered the most beautiful and most intact by the scientific community.

They also have a big model woolly mammoth and whole bunch of other nature-y things.

That evening, we did laundry and found a New Zealand bar a few doors down from the laundromat but they were closed.
